Goodbye, Google Reader – Hello, Flipboard!

I felt a great disturbance throughout the Internet, as if millions of blog readers suddenly cried out in terror. I was shocked to read that Google Reader will be retired on July 1, 2013. I’ve used Google Reader nearly every day for the past several years to read the news, follow my favorite blogs, and subscribe to many helpful RSS feeds. It’s my most frequently used app on my phone and tablet. What will I do without it? Twitter conversations immediately commenced in search of a replacement reader app. Flipboard was highly recommended.

After I read that tweet, I decided to rethink my life. So, I went home and downloaded the Flipboard app. I signed into my Google Reader account via Flipboard and was pleased to see all of my subscriptions there in a beautiful newspaper-like format. The app makes it easy to go from one article to another with a “flipping” motion similar to flipping the pages of a book. The below screenshot shows what my blog looks like in Flipboard. On both my Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note II, I’ve found it to be an impressive reader app. Most impressive.

Another reader app that I plan to test out is Feedly. If you have any other suggestions, please leave a comment.

I’ve been using Feedly as my Reader replacement, but Flipboard has been my general news reader (e.g., world news, Chicago Tribune, etc.). I like the news paper format for news, but not necessarily for blogs.

I am a black man and I don’t know much about my mother’s people’s but I have been thinking for a long time about trying to find out just who I might be connected to in the past I find this ancestry DNA very interesting thanks

I am thomas wheeler my dad on his death bed told me he had a daughter and son that was older than me. Sad part is, I have never meet them and know nothing about the wheeler family history. Because my grandpa came from NYNY is all I know. My dad was a WWII veteran and drank a lot told me we were native american yet I want to know where the wheelers really came from here or another country.

My parents said the same thing. This is a lot more interesting than the ‘wheel’ theory for certain.
I’m impressed that so many other ‘Wheelers’ also ended up here.

So after trying to figure out why my cents were adding wrong, I saw this and decided to chance the fix.
It worked.
So, File, Options, Advanced, When Calculating This Workbook, check Set Precision As Displayed
Now, my .02 + .02 = .03 is now gone. Yeah.
Also, decide which way your cells are going to be – number, currency, or accounting. Keep them the same.
